<em>Session 3: Changing Organizations: Insight and skills necessary to develop an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organization</em></p>

<p>Session 3 is a two-day workshop that applies foundational concepts to organizations in the environmental and social change arenas. It provides experiential learning and knowledge necessary to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Understand organizational culture and how it impacts individuals and groups.</li>
<li>Begin to identify the “current state” of an organization’s level of equity, diversity, and inclusion and build skills and learn key steps necessary for leading change to develop more inclusive organizational norms, policies, and practices.</li>
<li>Understand dynamics of organizational change and resistance.</li>
<li>Examine issues of gender and sexual orientation and how they impact organizational culture.</li>

<li>Effective, culturally competent leadership and skills to engage across difference.</li>
<li>Examination of issues and dynamics of race and how they impact individuals, organizations, coalitions, and movements. This is the first of four major diversity areas that will be explored in depth during the Series.</li>
<li>Deepening a supportive community of change agents who share values and a vision for a making diversity and inclusion foundational to environmental and social change.</li>
